Construction work on three sections of 4th gas pipeline accelerated

TEHRAN, Sept.26 (MNA) –- Construction work on sections 8, 9, and 10 of Iran’s fourth cross-country gas pipeline has been accelerated, Bijan Gorjian, the director of the supervisory office of the Jahrom-Arsanjan gas pipeline, said on Sunday.

Gorjian added that cleaning the path and drilling canal for these sections with 249 km length have been completed.

 

He noted that welding operations on 180 km of the pipeline have been currently carried out and insulation has been ended over a length of 120 km.

 

"Cabling and fiberoptic operations are also underway," he added.

 

The fourth cross-country gas pipeline will start in Asaluyeh and end in Tehran after passing through Fars and Isfahan provinces as well as Qom and Saveh regions for over 1,250 km.

 

Construction work on the pipeline is 80 percent complete.
